Looking at film openings connecting to our thriller ideas:

In class we looked up some film openings which were related to the ideas that we already had ( telekinetic girl with suppressed memories triggers by a song) to see the title sequences and get an idea of how they showed it. We firstly looked at carrie: 

Which is a girl who has telekinesis but sadly it is not available on the internet yet so we were not able to see the opening but we did get a good idea from the  trailer what they probably would have done.It also gave us hints of how we could show this power in a way that didn't seem cringe or over fake. 

We then proceeded to watch Don't Look Now:  

This film is extremely subtle with is portrayal of special powers as it doesn't show it at all at the beginning as if not to give away to much; so the audience would stay intrigued to watch the rest. 

We then carried on watching many more films with the same kind-off ideas also looking at some films were songs trigger emotion! These research was extremely useful when it came to our thriller ideas and how we could portray them.
