-This week we started editing; which i was so excited about as it is probably one of my favourite things to do- to actually make a piece come together, trying all the shots, getting different perspectives and bringing the audience on this journey.
- I remember a lot from our editing talk on the first week of term but i was still a bit of a rookie but i learnt as we went along. we started by going through the rushes; naming the shots and summing up what went on, seeing what was good and bad. We put the good ones into a log bin to make sure we knew what we wanted but we could always go back to the rushes if we needed sound, or just snippets of shots.
- We then started to cut. this was a bit tricky at first as we were very eager and started cutting to much too fast and the clips looked to forced and not like a real story, not building any anticipation. we started ti remember match on action and perspective and the piece was starting to look good!
- We had some problems with clips with sound at some points with people talking in the background or the background noise being too overpowering but it was quite easy to fix- we went though all the sound clips, unlinking picture and sound. to see in which shots the camera mic was better or if the hand one was- after doing this we linked up the speakers to make sure sound was coming out of both
