Looking at some videos that have been sucsessful.

As our A2 course is focusing solely on music videos so we have to say bye bye to the film industry 


we thought we would start looking at some bands we like to see if there videos correlate with the target audience and the persona they give off (and really if we just like them.

A band we looked at is RADIOHEAD.

 

 They look a bit scary from that picture but maybe there music video will oppose this view... 

     

Clearly not. This artistic take on a music video says a lot about the band and their attitude. Surprisingly I really did enjoy this video and it innovative and beautiful. Not beautiful like the way the Coldplay's videos are due to their use of film cameras to capture beautiful shots like this:

 But there art work and ambiguous drawings engage an audience just as much as a band like cold play:

Also in videos like these the hard-core fans get to come up with there own interpretations of what the video means as it is left ambiguous: 

 

Another ambiguous video they made was this: 

Which is one of my teacher, Phil's, personal favourites. It proves to an audience that you don't have to know or get the exact picture for it to have an impact on you, Everyone might react in the same or different ways.
