My Three Ideas

In the summer we were asked to come up with three concepts for completely different music videos. They had to be different so we could get a variety of ideas to choose from and not just be stuck on one.

The First One:

the song I chose was this- 'Hold On' by SBTRKT

What I want to with this, it that I would set up the studio to look like an apartment with white walls, very simple. But the basic narrative is that there is a couple fighting (physically) like falling over sofas, over tables, smashing into book shelves. So we would film it forward but I would actually like it to be played backwards in slow motion... so like if you smashed into a bookshelf and the books fell down you would see them go back up. There would also be stylistic shots of say water going back up a tap or a light bulbs glass reattaching.

The Second one:

the song I chose for this idea- 'In the summertime' by Mungo Jerry

What I want to do with this is have it very old fashioned like because it came out in the 70s and I wouldn't want to make it modern because it seems like a opportunity wasted. I would quite like to have a set like a beach or a fairground, and girls would be dressed like 60s and the boys too with life quiffs in there hair (a lot like grease) then basically the whole narrative is basically like there all on a date and he's trying to kiss her.

The Last One:

the song I chose for the last idea is 'Always like this' by Bombay Bicycle Club
Which would be a lot more stylistic that the others as I would like it to be frantic assembly, which is quite a big theatre technique but I think it would make a cool video as it would be so fragmented.
